Angel fog of healthcare executive Tangela Q. Parker sits on the sidewalk at Lake Oconee.

Quiet mornings at Lake Oconee have a way of reminding you that faith is not always loud.

Sometimes God meets us in the stillness, restoring perspective, peace, and the grace to keep moving forward.

In a world that constantly rewards noise, movement, and performance, stillness can feel unfamiliar. But some of life’s clearest moments happen when everything finally gets quiet enough to think, reflect, and reset.

Stillness forces honesty.

It reveals what’s draining you, what no longer aligns with your spirit, and what deserves your energy moving forward.

This morning reminded me that not every season is meant for proving. Some seasons are meant for healing, reflecting, and quietly preparing for what’s next.
